Every great journey begins with a story — and this one starts at the table.
I’m Tanya, a mom of three boys, wife, and devoted boxer mom living in Texas — though I’ll always be a Northeast girl at heart. I grew up in Pennsylvania and Upstate New York, went to college in Maryland, spent years working in Manhattan, and lived in New Jersey before life brought us south to Texas. All those places, all those food cultures, all those kitchens — they shaped the way I cook more than I realized.
In 2024, I set out to capture the recipes and traditions my family loves most. What started as a personal cookbook to one day pass down to my boys — complete with holiday traditions, weeknight staples, and the meals we keep coming back to — naturally grew into something more. As I found myself writing recipes, photographing meals, and dreaming up new ideas, turning it into a food blog felt like the perfect next step.
The best part of my day is still when everyone is gathered around the dinner table, the boys are loud, something smells good, and the dog is underfoot hoping someone drops something. Those moments — full of laughter, flavor, and controlled chaos — are what inspire everything I share here.
With a background in digital creative services and marketing, The Tipsy Apron brings together my love of food, storytelling, and creativity all in one place.
I’m so glad you’re here. I hope these recipes find their way to your table and become part of your traditions too.
